Responsibilities
Role is 100% onsite in Spring House, PA.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Must have experience in protein production and purification, as well as analytical characterization.
Membrane protein experience is a significant plus.
Candidates must have 2-4 years of relevant experience.
The role involves attending group meetings.
60%-70% of the role is lab-based work, including data capturing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support membrane protein expression and purification.
* Conduct protein production, purification, and characterization.
* Perform characterization and quality checks of membrane proteins to support biotherapeutics development.
* Collaborate effectively in a multi-team environment.
* Contribute to both internal and external efforts in membrane protein production.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of BS Degree with 2-4 years of academic/industry experience or MS Degree with 1-2 years of experience.
Required Skills:
* Experience with membrane protein expression, optimization, purification, and characterization.
* Proficiency in analytical characterization to determine quality, conformation, purity, and stability.
* Knowledge of protein expression construct design, optimization, and expression platforms.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external partners.
Preferred Skills:
* Proficiency in protein purification optimization, detergent screening, and reconstitution into lipid nanodiscs.
* Experience operating AKTA FPLC and analytical HPLC instruments independently.
* Experience generating DNA/RNA constructs or other tools to support antibody discovery.
* Knowledge and experience with CROs for protein production.
