For these members, NSTXL offers opportunities to bid on government contracts, education and training, and live/virtual forums on a wide variety of topics.Job DescriptionThe Director of Microelectronics Commons is the person responsible for the overall execution of the Microelectronics (ME) Commons program. ME Commons is a $2B program established under the CHIPS and Science Act, with the goal of advancing lab to fab prototyping and innovation for the Department of War. The Director is responsible for managing and overseeing the program in strong partnership with the US government, ensuring successful acquisition milestones, technical execution, and sustainment. This role requires strong leadership skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations with multiple internal and external stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and track ME Commons execution timelines in collaboration with governmentProvide thought leadership on the strategic direction of the programSet the internal cadence for a broad team supporting ME Commons, including contracts, marketing, and project managementManage relationships with Hubs, project teams, and the broader user community.Work closely with regional Hubs to ensure compliance and quality of deliverablesAct as an advocate for the ME Commons program with government and other key stakeholdersProvide recommendations to senior NSTXL leaders to manage risk and seek growth opportunities.Act as a trusted advisor to government, providing relevant inputs for the success of the programResolve any issues or escalations from clients quickly and effectively to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.Ensure team’s adherence to thorough documentation for each project, including plans, timelines, budgets, risks, and resolutions.Identify and manage resources appropriate to needs.Identify and collect metrics and key performance indicators that measure and track ecosystem health and inform future year requirements and acquisition.Qualifications Expected for Position:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.5+ years experience in the semiconductor industry.5+ years of experience managing a team.Strong technical background with experience in managing complex programs with multiple stakeholdersSuperior attention to detailStrong communication, problem solving, strategy development, and leadership skills.Team player with the ability to partner cross functionally in growing organization.Ability to receive US government clearanceTravelTravel for this position is estimated up to 25%Equal Opportunity Employer:NSTXL is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
