Requirements and responsibilities


In this role, you will manage the core billing workflow between encounter completion and reimbursement, ensuring claims are accurate, submitted correctly, and followed through to resolution. You will work closely with the internal billing team to review coding, identify discrepancies, and handle denial management while maintaining high claim accuracy. This is a highly hands-on administrative role that requires reliability, structure, and proactive communication. The ideal candidate brings experience in urgent care or high-volume outpatient billing, communicates with professionalism and clarity, is comfortable navigating eClinicalWorks (eCW), and demonstrates strong organization, consistency, and high ethical standards while supporting efficient revenue cycle operations. Responsibilities: - Review encounter data and ensure accuracy of patient, provider, and insurance information. - Validate coding (E&M, labs, imaging) against provider notes prior to claim submission. - Prepare and submit claims within the billing system. - Monitor claim status and ensure timely reimbursement. - Handle denial management, including investigation and resubmission. - Communicate with payers to resolve claim issues and discrepancies. - Ensure claims meet clean claim standards to minimize rejection rates. - Maintain accurate billing records and documentation within the system. - Collaborate with the internal billing team to ensure workflow continuity. Requirements and Qualifications: - Experience in urgent care or high-volume outpatient billing (required). - Strong experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) (required). - Strong understanding of E&M coding, lab billing, and basic radiology billing. - Experience with claims submission, denial management, and AR workflows. - Ability to maintain high clean claim rates and identify errors proactively. - Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication. - Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader billing team. - Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. - Tech-savvy and effective in a remote work environment. - High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information. - High ethical standards, professionalism, and respect in all patient interactions. - Willingness to learn, grow, and develop yourself professionally.
