Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to help architect and scale robust backend systems powered by Node.js, AWS, and cutting-edge AI technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for backend engineers who thrive in distributed environments, enjoy solving complex scalability challenges, and want to work on innovative AI-driven products with modern cloud-native architectures. Role: Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, AWS). Location: Remote. Job Type: Contractor. Compensation: $30–$80/hr. Openings: 1. What You’ll Do: - Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services using Node.js and AWS. - Architect and implement microservices for distributed systems. - Integrate AI capabilities into backend workflows and product functionality. - Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and technical teams. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented production-grade code. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend and infrastructure issues. - Contribute to backend best practices, scalability, and system reliability. What We’re Looking For: - Strong expertise in Node.js and backend engineering. - Deep experience with AWS cloud services and deployment workflows. - Proven experience building scalable microservices architectures. - Understanding of AI integrations within backend systems. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently in remote, distributed teams.
