Requirements and responsibilities


We are currently looking for experienced professionals to join our client as a Printer Security & Vulnerability Technician. This role will involve supporting enterprise printer environments, vulnerability remediation, firmware management, and security compliance activities across multiple customer locations in Alberta. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across enterprise Multi-Function Printer (MFP) environments. - Analyze vulnerability scan reports and map findings to vendor security advisories and firmware updates. - Perform firmware upgrades, security patching, and configuration-based remediation activities. - Implement security hardening measures including protocol restrictions, access controls, and encryption standards. - Ensure compliance with corporate security policies, change management procedures, and audit requirements. - Document asset information, remediation activities, validation results, and compliance evidence. - Create rollback plans and configuration backups before implementing changes. - Travel to customer locations across Alberta as required. Professional Requirements: - Experience with enterprise printer environments and security management. - Understanding of vulnerability management processes, CVEs, firmware updates, and security patching. - Knowledge of network security principles, TLS, HTTPS, SMB, SNMP, and device hardening. - Experience working within ITIL or structured Change Management environments. - Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders. - Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel throughout Alberta (mandatory). Nice to Have: - Experience with Xerox AltaLink devices. - Knowledge of Xerox Device Manager (XDM) and Xerox Workplace Cloud (XWC). - Background in enterprise security, infrastructure support, or vulnerability management.
