You will leverage your actuarial background to improve the engineering team’s output, quality of work product, and development cycle as we build the neutral third-party platform to accelerate the adoption of value-based care in the US.Roles & ResponsibilitiesReview code, methodology, and analysis used for financial reporting in the healthcare industryContribute to features of the Arbital Platform, especially financial reporting featuresManage data requirements, evaluate appropriateness of data, and problem solve any issues with internal data and customers’ Claims, Eligibility, and Prescription dataCollaborate with external stakeholders as neededMake recommendations based on analysis and communicate results and solutions to meet client needs in a timely mannerIncrease efficiency through process standardizationModel financial outcomes, evaluate drivers of healthcare trends, and identify risksLeverage your strong backend development skills in Python and with platforms like Databricks and AWS while working on the processing of high volumes of complex healthcare dataWork closely with Product and Design teams to create a user experience that intuitively conveys complex healthcare and financial informationCollaborate with an actuarial science team that primarily works in SAS, R, and ExcelContribute to the design, implementation, and overall development of our productsDrive innovation and deliver valuable features for our customersQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science or similar fieldCompletion of four or more Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams preferredMinimum 4 years of experience as an actuarial analyst, with experience in medical claims data, especially experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or ACO businessStrong technical skills (including R, Python, SQL, Next.js, or React)Startup experience is highly preferredSalary Range$170,000 - $210,000 a yearWhy Join Us?We are assembling a team of creative, talented visionaries seeking to build a new technology that will change healthcare.
