Responsibilities
Medical Virtual Assistant – Pain Management:
- Our client is looking for a full-time Medical Virtual Assistant with experience in pain management to support daily front desk operations, insurance coordination, and prior authorizations.
- The ideal candidate is comfortable handling high call volumes, managing multiple tasks, and communicating professionally with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Handle 150+ daily calls across three phone lines.
- Manage patient check-ins, check-outs, and copayment collection.
- Submit and track prior authorizations for procedures and medications.
- Verify insurance coverage before appointments.
- Assist with claims and explain copays and coinsurance to patients.
- Work with insurance plans such as Medicare, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and BCBS.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical VA or in a healthcare setting.
- Pain management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical billing.
- Experience handling high call volumes.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) and Spectrum VOIP.
