Requirements and responsibilities

As a Patient Access Associate, your mission is to be the professional voice and the administrative engine of a medical practice in the United States. This is a dynamic, patient-facing role where you will manage the essential bridge between patients, doctors, and insurance companies. You are not just an assistant; you are the person who ensures that every patient gets the care they need by navigating the complexities of the healthcare system. Our Commitment to You We are building a long-term community, not just a team. While we operate under a service agreement model (Contractor), we focus on stability and professional growth. We offer a competitive monthly fee and the benefit of paid time off (PTO) after your initial 90 days. Our goal is to create a career path with you, offering a reliable, long-term relationship where you can grow within the healthcare industry. Unlike traditional BPOs, our schedules are stable and not rotative; once your shift is defined within U.S. business hours, it remains consistent. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like - Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls to assist patients, triage their needs, and provide virtual receptionist services. - Coordinate the provider’s calendar by scheduling and confirming appointments with precision to ensure efficient clinic flow. - Perform insurance verifications and manage prior authorization requests, following up diligently with insurance companies. - Execute patient intake processes and manage Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) with strict attention to data privacy. - Organize specialty referrals and manage professional email inboxes with high standards of written communication. - Maintain data integrity and support the overall office function through organized administrative management. Work Conditions and Profile - This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday through Saturday, aligned with the U.S. medical calendar (including Colombian holidays). - You must have an advanced English level (C1) and a stable, private workspace with high-speed internet. - If you come from a BPO or call center background, you will thrive here. We value candidates who feel comfortable and confident handling phone communications while managing administrative data simultaneously. - Previous experience in U.S. healthcare is a plus, but we are primarily looking for fast learners with exceptional communication skills and a desire for a long-term professional home. - While we welcome talent from across Colombia, please note that for candidates based in Medellín, there is a possibility of transitioning to an on-site or hybrid model at our local headquarters in the future.
