About the Role
We’re seeking a seasoned and innovative AI Engineer — a creative problem-solver and experienced backend developer who loves applying AI to solve real business challenges. In this role, you’ll design and build internal tools, services, and automated workflows that improve operational efficiency across teams and systems.
You’ll be responsible for developing scalable backend solutions — including MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and integrations — that power AI workflows and internal tooling, and help streamline processes using modern AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLM-based APIs.
This is a hands-on, engineering-first role focused on building reliable, high-performance code and intelligent systems that support our platform and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and related infrastructure to support AI integrations and workflows.
Build scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices that embed and orchestrate AI capabilities.
Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, LLM APIs, etc.) to automate internal workflows, reduce manual tasks, and streamline processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption.
Prototype innovative AI solutions and evaluate emerging technologies that could benefit internal systems.
Ensure proper performance, monitoring, logging, and security practices are implemented for all systems.
Write clean, maintainable documentation and code; participate in code reviews.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
Strong programming skills in languages like Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or PHP.
Proven experience working with APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.).
Experience with deployment and management of backend services in cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
Knowledge of MCP server design and implementation or experience developing similar protocol-based backend systems.
Experience integrating with AI/ML APIs, including LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.).
Strong understanding of data structures, API design, scalability, and performance optimization.
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
