Requirements and responsibilities

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for reviewing plans and drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing accurate material and labor estimates for upcoming projects. You’ll work closely with the owner and project team to ensure timely, detailed, and cost-effective bids for residential and commercial hardscape projects. Key Responsibilities - Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed estimates. - Perform quantity takeoffs for pavers, concrete, masonry, and retaining wall projects. - Use estimating software to generate accurate material, labor, and equipment quantities. - Coordinate with the owner and project managers to finalize and submit estimates. - Maintain organized records of bids, revisions, and project costs. - Support process improvements to help the team respond to more RFPs efficiently. Requirements - Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably with hardscape, concrete, or masonry projects. - Ability to read and interpret architectural and civil plans. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes. - Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar). - Engineering or Construction background (Civil Engineering or related field preferred). - High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
