With more than 50 full-time staff and partners positioned statewide, IMEC delivers the local expertise to not only plan and strategize, but to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of client improvements. IMEC is seeking a motivated college intern that is ready to help Illinois Manufacturers and interested in learning about the industry along the way. The intern will work with an experienced IMECer to assist the Illinois manufacturing community through tasks such as providing direct consultation to manufacturers, preparing proposals, delivering sales presentations, managing project engagements, participating on IMEC's service development and process improvement teams, analyzing customer needs, and identifying potential IMEC resources. The intern will also shadow both Regional Managers and Technical Specialist IMECers in the field, and assist with phone calls, crafting emails, entering data, etc. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in engineering, manufacturing, or business-related fields from an accredited University, have a desire to help small to mid-sized manufacturers, possess research and organization skills, strong attention to detail, ability to think and act creatively, and be able to work in Peoria, IL office for a minimum of 10-20 hours per week. Responsibilities: - Provide direct consultation to manufacturers - Prepare proposals - Deliver sales presentations - Manage project engagements - Participate on IMEC's service development and process improvement teams - Analyze customer needs and identify potential IMEC resources - Shadow both Regional Managers and Technical Specialist IMECers in the field - Assist with phone calls, crafting emails, entering data, etc.
