Chainguard is seeking a Summer Research Intern to join Chainguard Labs, an applied R&D lab at Chainguard. The main goal of the summer internship is to explore and create a set of software prototypes related to open source software security. The intern will receive guidance and mentorship from senior staff at Chainguard Labs. This is a remote position in the US, and the internship will last from approximately June to August 2024. Chainguard offers a base salary range of $25—$30 USD and benefits including equity/stock options, unlimited PTO, remote work with flexible coworking and team meetup opportunities, home office and internet stipend, and 100% health/dental/vision insurance coverage for the intern and their family. Responsibilities: - Design, build, and test several software prototypes related to the long-term product and engineering roadmap of Chainguard. - Collaborate with team members in other departments, serving as a source of expertise. - Communicate findings through clear and concise written reports, blog posts, and presentations.
