ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Argentina.ABOUT PROJECT Our client is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world, working in the Insurance business domain and providing risk management, insurance, and reinsurance brokerage, and investment banking solutions.REQUIREMENTS4+ years of experience as a Data EngineerStrong expertise in Azure CloudExperience with Azure Cosmos DB is nice to haveProficiency in MS SQL and DatabricksExperience with Power BI for data visualization and reportingAdvanced skills in T-SQL, Apache SparkDeep knowledge of indexes, execution plans, query optimization, and Python scriptingSolid understanding of Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, computing resources, and job orchestrationHands-on experience with data synchronization workflowsUpper-Intermediate level of EnglishRESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintain reliable software in line with technical requirements, focusing on performance and availabilityAnalyze requirements, review designs, and estimate user stories following project methodology (Agile, Waterfall, etc)Proactively propose code refactoring and optimization improvements according to the best software development practices and coding standardsHelp maintain and improve high-quality standards within the developer community by sharing knowledge, conducting tech talks, and participating in the internal promotion verification processStay up-to-date with modern technology and obtain professional certificationsSupport less experienced developers by providing training, distributing, and monitoring tasks
