Requirements and responsibilities

Core Software Engineering requirementsStrong Java Expertise: Solid experience with Java 8+ and a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.Application Frameworks: Proven experience with modern frameworks such as Spring or JakartaEE.API & Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of REST (and SOAP where applicable) for building and consuming services.Engineering Practices & QualityTest-Driven Development: Hands-on experience with TDD and unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).Domain-Driven Design: Ability to apply DDD principles in practical scenarios.Debugging & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.DevOps & DeliveryCI/CD Proficiency: Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably using Jenkins) and managing artifacts (e.g., Nexus).Version Control: Strong working knowledge of Git and related development workflows.Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and container platforms such as OpenShift or Rancher.Data & InfrastructureDatabase Knowledge: Experience working with relational databases.Application Servers: Understanding of server containers such as Tomcat, Jetty, or JBoss.Security & IdentityFamiliarity with authentication protocols such as OAuth and SAML, with exposure to AD, LDAP, and Kerberos.Additional requirementsYears of Experience: 5+ years experience.3+ years on java8+ experience.3+ years on Banking experience.Experience and understanding of AD / LDAP / Kerberos.Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions.Effective communication and analytical thinking.Contract Duration: 7 Months – RenewableMode of Work: RemoteInterested can share CVs to ramalakshmi@risingsunsoftsol.com#Note: Candidate should be in SouthAfrica
