Principal Engineer, Cloud Capacity Planning at Zscaler

Zscaler is seeking a passionate Principal Engineer, Cloud Capacity Planning to join the Cloud Operations team. The role involves focusing on capacity management, demand forecasting, and capacity planning for the large-scale digital platform across on-premises and Azure public cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in capacity utilization monitoring, capacity planning, demand forecasting, and communication. Responsibilities: - Monitor day-to-day capacity utilization of the different system roles of the product - Run weekly capacity planning meetings to communicate upcoming capacity additions - Collect future capacity demand from professional services, Technical Account managers, Customer success managers - Create slide decks every week to summarize future capacity needs - Analyze capacity data to identify the hotspot early enough and communicate to the Infra team - Identifying Capacity requirements early enough to take into account resource procurement lead times - Strong verbal communication skills and PowerPoint skills to create the weekly capacity decks - Work closely with SREs, NOC, and QA/Engg teams to help resolve the capacity issues
