✅ROLE: IT Project Manager IV (Oil & Gas) Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States Salary: $78/hr Job Type: Contract (12 Months) Work Location Type: On-site Industry: Oil & Energy Function: Engineering Experience Required: 10+ Years Experience Level: Mid-Senior Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree ✅ Important Note This role requires prior Oil & Gas industry experience (leading projects that work with field/operations). Candidates without experience supporting IT infrastructure, cloud, network, and data platform projects within oil & gas companies will not be considered. Job Profile Summary Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating extremely large and complex projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished using best proactive methodologies within prescribed business requirements, time frames, and funding parameters. Performs technical tasks and/or leads teams in projects of extremely complex scope, importance, and/or complexity. Leads development and implementation of technical standards and specifications. Assumes responsibility for interpretation of business aspects and overall project success. Regularly called upon to make unreviewed decisions. ✅ Job Description As the IT Project Manager IV, the ability to resolve sophisticated problems, explain difficult issues, and cultivate positive relationships are all important skills needed for this role. This role will also require extensive knowledge of the software development process and how to use business applications for a competitive advantage. We are looking for someone who can bring a new perspective on existing solutions to improve performance, efficiency, and safety. ✅ Responsibilities / Expectations Leads and coordinates a variety of sophisticated projects with significant impact to the organization Understands business requirements, project risks, and project lifecycle Applies expertise and leadership skills to advise staff and resolve issues Measures and reports project performance to the leadership team Cultivates relationships with clients and company partners Collaborates with others on the software development process, including: Requirements gathering Analysis and design Development tools and technologies Release and version control Modern testing methodologies Deployment management Uses business applications for competitive advantage Applies knowledge of business challenges to improve products, processes, or services Interprets internal/external customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies responses. ✅Education / Years of Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or Engineering Minimum 7 years of project management experience Minimum 3 years of Information Technology experience OR Minimum 11 years of related business experience Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Other Requirements Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Has developed conceptual and practical expertise in own field Strongly Preferred: Experience managing IT infrastructure projects and programs, including: Core hosting Corporate and field network Cloud implementations Preferred: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably leading projects that work with field/operations Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously (large and small) in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences Extensive knowledge of: Plan development and execution Scope planning Schedule development Cost estimating Budgeting and control Communications planning Risk identification and response control s & Big Data Analytics experience
