Requirements and responsibilities


This position will be responsible for generating business opportunities with new prospects and existing customers within a defined territory by developing and maintaining long-term relationships. This role requires making successful contact with customers in order to properly position and sell the company’s suite of product and service offerings. The Regional Sales Manager takes on projects and tasks as dictated by the business. Regional coverage: Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAchieve monthly sales goals, for order quantity and gross profit, by cultivating new and existing accounts.Maximize daily efficiency by mastering sales, scheduling and communication tools available in proprietary software.Collaborate with marketing to convey the DWC brand to distribution partners.Travel to customers to develop and grow relationships.Create and maintain a strategic travel schedule to fully cover the assigned region and key accounts throughout the year.Book flights, rental cars, and travel accommodations in a timely, organized, and economic manner.Create thorough call reports that provide lead generation, market intel, and drive business strategy for assigned region.Provide reports on vertical and horizontal expansion, new clients and current customer satisfaction measures.Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develop deep knowledge of the client organization.Develop tactical plans for targeting and growing the market.Show consistent improvement in sales, sales visits and prospects to clients, new projects and client revenue growth.Keep abreast of current and future business trends.Liaison on significant customer issues, when required, to preserve customer relationships.Leverage current relationships at the local and regional customer level to assist in driving additional revenue.Monitor and report on actions and strategy against plans.Analyze customer accounts for potential opportunities and sales strategies.Collaborate with Account Managers on high level market penetration strategies and execution.Promote company culture through leadership behavior.Perform other duties as assigned.OutcomesPositively impact revenue and profitGenerate increased quotes and ordersConsistent sales and brand presence throughout assigned territoryRequired Skills/AbilitiesA track record of progressive and successful sales experience.A forward action, self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously and within teams.Effective communicator at all levels, capable of high-level customer interaction within various customer segments.Proven ability to negotiate and close deals.Excellent time and project management skills.Established organizational and proactive planning skills.Exceptional oral and written communication skills with heightened attention for detail.Highly developed multi-tasking skills with a proven ability to work in high stress situations while maintaining a positive attitude.Demonstrated ability to be forward-thinking and innovative while understanding client needs and the intricacies of our business processes and technologies.Ability to develop both internal and external relationships.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business or communication preferredMinimum 5 years of sales experience; experience in the electrical wire and cable industry preferred.Candidate will ideally be based in either Arizona or Colorado near a major international airport.Physical RequirementsMust be willing to travel up to 75% yearly.Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 pounds, occasional bending and reaching.Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.Salary: $40,000 + commission, OTE: $200,000Some reasons you want to work at DWCMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceCompany paid LifeVoluntary life, short- and long-term disability401kExcellent time off optionsCaring familyThe work that you do matters
