We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to lead and coordinate all commercial activities for assigned accounts in the automotive/mobility industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with selling plastic injection molding products and possess the interpersonal savvy needed to easily build credibility and gain the respect of stakeholders. This role is part of Covestro’s Engineered Plastics business entity and is a residence-based role, where the successful candidate would need to reside in Eastern Michigan or Northern Ohio. The account coverage area includes Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois and requires the willingness to travel up to 50% - 75% for customer/office visits. Responsibilities: - Establish and manage pricing on a quarterly basis or per commercial agreement. - Maximize margin and grow profitability. - Identify and map key decision makers in customer's value chain. - Build, maintain, and develop relationships with the key decision makers and influencers. - Listen to and understand the industry, value chain, and current/future needs of the customer and value chain partners. - Develop account, including 3-5 years account plans in line with industry, application, and product strategy. - Communicate the account plans with internal supportive functions. - Achieve account target or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Coordinate activities with support functions: Market Development, Application Development, Product Technology, Customer Service. - Monitor and manage the customer's project pipeline and document in CRM system.
