Position Summary: Astute Advisors is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual to join our team and help deliver an exceptional client experience. About Astute Advisors: Astute Advisors, Inc. is a rapidly growing firm based in California, specializing in tax planning and business consulting. In the past year, we've saved business owners over $10 million in taxes and helped them reach their financial goals. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping clients and eager to grow both personally and professionally. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, and file individual and business tax returns (including Partnership, S Corp, C Corp, and 1040). - Calculate and update quarterly estimated tax payments for clients. - Provide accounting services, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. - Stay current with tax laws and regulations. - Respond to client inquiries within 24 business hours. - Continuously improve processes and document procedures. Skills & Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of individual and business tax returns and financial statements (Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statements). - Ability to explain tax concepts to clients in simple, understandable terms. - Proficiency in GSuite, Intuit ProConnect (tax software), QuickBooks Online, and other task management tools. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. - Comfortable with Zoom/Google Meets for video conferences. - Must be tech-savvy and adaptable to changes. - Collaborative and respectful team player. Education & Experience: - CPA or EA preferred, but not required. - 5–6 years of tax preparation experience (1120S, 1120, 1065, 1040). - Experience in a CPA firm and small business accounting is a plus. - Access to a quiet, private office for remote work. Location Requirements: - This is a remote/virtual position open only to applicants based in Latin America.
