🟣 Requirements:
• Proficiency in GAAP, Bookkeeping, and Quickbooks.
• Exposure to US taxes (to understand how S corps, sole proprietors, partnerships, etc, should be set up for chart of accounts, owner pay, etc)
• Tech savvy - able to navigate Zoom, Slack, etc, and learn new software quickly.
• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients with an awareness of what needs to be prioritized.
• Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
🟣 Responsibilities:
• Lead Zoom calls with small business owners to understand their business and accounting.
• Take new messy clients and clean up their bookkeeping, streamline processes, connect bank feeds, update chart of accounts, then hand it off to a teammate for regular monthly bookkeeping.
• Clean up existing Quickbooks Online files, as well as open new Quickbooks Online files.
• Your daily tasks will be cleanly organized in Canopy, our practice management system, a critical tool that will set you up for success in managing work across multiple clients.
• As you work, you'll always stop to ask your team questions when you aren't exactly sure what needs to be done, whether inside a client's books or another client system.
• Understand and connect CRMs such as Jobber, Hubspot, ServiceTitan, and Square that integrate with Quickbooks online.
• Make sure the prior year's tax return matches the bookkeeping.
