We are a licensed and growing home health agency based in Florida, providing skilled nursing, therapy, and home care services. As part of our strategic growth, we are seeking an experienced Medical Staffing Consultant to identify, pursue, and secure staffing contracts with healthcare facilities, hospitals, long-term care centers, physician groups, and other entities across the state.
Position Summary
The Medical Staffing Consultant will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and securing staffing contracts for nurses, caregivers, and allied health professionals. This individual will serve as the primary driver of our contract acquisition strategy and must have deep knowledge of the Florida healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities
* Research and identify medical staffing contract opportunities with healthcare providers, hospitals, home health clients, private practices, government agencies, and long-term care facilities in Florida.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (Directors of Nursing, HR, Procurement Managers, etc.).
* Develop and deliver tailored pitches, proposals, and presentations.
* Negotiate contract terms, rates, and service agreements.
* Ensure all contracts comply with Florida home health regulations and staffing requirements.
* Maintain and manage a pipeline of active opportunities and regularly report progress.
* Collaborate with internal team to ensure staffing capabilities align with client needs.
* Stay current on market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes affecting medical staffing in Florida.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in medical staffing, healthcare business development, or healthcare sales – preferably in Florida.
* Strong understanding of the home health care industry and staffing models (PRN, contract, per diem, travel, etc.).
* Existing network of contacts within Florida’s healthcare industry strongly preferred.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and deliver measurable results.
* Familiarity with Florida AHCA regulations, Medicare/Medicaid programs, and credentialing processes is a plus.
