Since 1979, LISC and its affiliates have invested approximately $29.7 billion in businesses, affordable housing, health, educational mobility, community and recreational facilities, public safety, employment, and other projects that help to revitalize and stabilize underinvested communities. Headquartered in New York City, LISC’s reach spans the country from East coast to West coast in 38 markets with offices extending from Buffalo to San Francisco and in 2,400 rural counties across 49 states and Puerto Rico. This role will manage the growth and sustainable organization of LISC Strategic Investments (SI) and will translate the SI’s strategy into the programs and processes required to achieve the team’s performance goals. More specifically, this position will focus on overseeing team development, process improvement, technology integration, internal communications, and budget, resource, and contract management. This position will supervise a direct report. Responsibilities: - Create strategy for the team’s structure, then manage finding and retaining the right people in the right seats as the team grows by 33%. - Effectively manage a team of professionals including one direct report to ensure smooth operations and adequate support and development for each staff member. - Create the strategy for the team’s annual strategic planning and quarterly strategy meetings to prioritize and track annual and quarterly goals. - Lead the culture-creation strategy for the SI team. - Solve for inter-team issues as problems arise. - Lead the establishment and refinement of policies and procedures that organize the team’s efforts and ensure accuracy on tasks executed. - Proactively interact with the other Strategic Investments teams to ensure lessons learned inform future policies and procedures. - Look across the SI team to proactively identify the tech business needs to achieve annual goals and manage the relationship with LISC IT to secure contracts and oversee implementation. - Manage technology integration with team to ensure new and current staff have adequate resources and process to use technology solutions. - Strategically manage the team budget process and coordinate with Finance to ensure team has adequate budget to support strategic priorities. - Manage contract budgeting, review, and approvals with Strategic Investments and third-party vendors/consultants. - Coordinate SI teams to prepare presentations, memos, and reports to reflect key SI initiatives and progress toward annual goals for internal LISC and LFM audiences. - Oversee rolling out new initiatives from LISC, to ensure team is adhering to new protocols.
