Interior Designer (SketchUp + Photoshop) - Funkit Remote worldwide (overlap with US Central) | Contract | USD 1,000 - USD 3,000 / month set at the interview depending on the contract, your experience and the hours you take on Funkit designs short-term rentals across the US. Hiring an Interior Designer on a 3-month contract at full-time hours, fully remote. The spread on pay is wide because we hire globally. Possibility of continuing past the three months depending on performance and workload - not presenting it as guaranteed. The work: - Space planning for full properties - layouts, circulation, sleeping arrangements, how a group actually uses a house - Select furniture, materials, finishes, lighting and decor to a budget from US vendors - Develop a concept that answers the specific property and its target guest, then carry it through every room - Build and present in SketchUp and Photoshop at a standard a client can approve from - Produce documentation clean enough that shopping sheets and install guides come out of it What we look for: - Background in interior design, architecture or closely related, with projects you can walk us through - Strong SketchUp, comfortable in Photoshop - Real command of colour and pattern - our properties are bold and a neutral-only portfolio is a hard sell - Judgement about scale, materials and finishes - Comfort designing to a budget and a deadline - Fluent English, overlap with US Central Nice to have: - Short-term rental or hospitality experience is a plus, not a requirement What you get: - Base of $1,000-3,000 USD/month, set at the interview depending on the contract, your experience and the hours you take on - Possibility of continuing past the 3-month contract depending on performance and workload
