Requirements and responsibilities

Role Overview: - Support a fast-paced Gastroenterology practice in the United States. - Ensure clinical excellence by providing real-time scribing, comprehensive pre-charting, and essential administrative support. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: - Review patient schedules in advance to prepare charts. - Pull laboratory results, imaging reports, and previous consultation notes into the EMR so the physician is prepared before each visit. - Accompany the physician virtually during patient visits. - Accurately record clinical notes and documentation. - Handle incoming calls during non-scribing hours. - Schedule patient appointments during non-scribing hours. - Relay information between the physician and patients accurately and professionally. - Assist the physician between back-to-back appointments to maintain an efficient and smooth clinic flow. Mandatory Requirements: - Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, RN or BSN, to ensure a deep understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology, and drug interactions. - Possess at least one year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or Medical Scribe. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge through recent graduation or active clinical practice within the last five years. - Demonstrate bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. - Work from one specific and consistent location only to maintain Epic EMR access. - Utilize a computer with a minimum of 8 GB RAM. - Use a minimum 21 to 22-inch monitor. - Run Epic and Zoom simultaneously on the same computer. - Provide a valid passport, criminal background check, and valid professional license. Nice to Have: - Previous experience using Epic EMR. - Previous experience working in Gastroenterology or a surgical practice.
