Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Chiller Service Technician to join our team, supporting customers across the United States. This role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional specializing in large-tonnage chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw and scroll chillers, with strong OEM experience.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing chillers from leading manufacturers such as LG, Johnson Controls / York, Trane, Daikin and Carrier.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo succeed in this role, you will need your own vehicle. Air Global Service team will not be providing a work vehicle.Core Responsibilities Include:Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on commercial and industrial chiller systemsDiagnose and repair centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption chillersWork on systems from LG, Trane, York, JCI, and DaikinInterpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and OEM manualsConduct start-ups, commissioning, and system performance checksTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration componentsSupport central plant operations, including cooling towers and pumpsProvide recommendations for system upgrades, repairs, and maintenanceMaintain accurate service documentation and reportsAdditional Role Highlights:Travel will be required globally. When not traveling, technicians will work with the local operating company in their region.A packout tool set is provided by the company.All required PPE is supplied by the Air Global Service teamTechnicians receive a company-issued corporate credit card for job-related expenses.Extensive on-the-job training is provided at no cost, with opportunities to expand skills and grow over time.FR/AR uniforms are provided by the company.Experience & Requirements:Required5+ years of experience working with commercial or industrial HVAC systemsProven experience with chillers (centrifugal, screw, or scroll chillers - air and water cooled systems)Hands-on experience with at least one of the following OEMs (chillers): LG, Johnson Controls (York), Trane, Daikin, Carrier Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, controls, and electrical systemsAbility to troubleshoot complex mechanical and controls issuesEPA Universal Certification requiredValid driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to travel PreferredDirect experience working on LG chillers preferredOEM factory training or certifications (LG, Johnson Controls / York, Trane, Daikin, Carrier)Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS / BMS)Knowledge of VFDs, controls systems, and energy optimizationExperience working in data centers and/or large commercial facilitiesUp to date passportPhysical Demands / Work Environment:This role is primarily field-based and physically active. Chiller Technicians can expect to spend the majority of their time on their feet, walking, standing, climbing ladders, bending, crouching, or working in tight and confined spaces. Extended periods of physical activity are common while diagnosing and repairing equipment at customer job sites.While a small portion of time (approximately 15%) may be spent in an office setting completing reports or administrative tasks at a computer, most responsibilities require hands-on work with tools and equipment. Technicians must regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, sometimes in challenging environments.Clear and effective communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors is essential, both in person and electronically. Individuals must also be capable of reviewing their work for accuracy and making necessary adjustments in the field.This position involves frequent exposure to outdoor conditions and varying environments, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and active construction sites.
