Requirements and responsibilities

About Equity Medical Equity Medical is a high-velocity, rapidly expanding clinical research network acquiring and operating clinical trial sites across the United States (New York, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, and Nevada). We are eliminating the slow, manual processes that plague the clinical research industry. We are currently building a centralized, automated data ecosystem that connects our Clinical Trial Management System (CRIO) and our CRM (Salesforce) directly to live Business Intelligence dashboards (Power BI). The Role We are looking for a Senior Clinical BI Analyst to act as our primary data architect and dashboard developer. We utilize CRIO's Direct Data Access via Google BigQuery. This means you will not be forced to write complex Python scripts or manage messy API extraction pipelines. Instead, you will be handed the keys to our live BigQuery backend. You will connect Power BI directly to this database, write raw SQL data models, and personally design the executive dashboards that our CEO and COO use to run the company. Your Objectives First 90 Days (The Build): Eliminate all manual Excel trackers across our clinics. You will connect Power BI directly to CRIO's BigQuery database to build and deploy our core operational dashboards (Screen Failure Ratios, Major Protocol Deviations, and Patient Visit funnels). Year 1 & Beyond (The Scale): Act as our "Command Center" data leader. As we acquire new clinical sites across the US, you will rapidly integrate their operational, CRM (Salesforce), and financial data into our centralized BI ecosystem, ensuring our executive team has real-time visibility into newly acquired clinics from Day 1. Key Responsibilities Data Modeling & BigQuery Mastery: Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries inside Google BigQuery to organize our raw clinical trial data into clean, usable tables. Dashboard Development: Own our Power BI environment. You will build, publish, and maintain critical executive dashboards, including our Network Health Scorecard, Protocol Deviation (PD) Tracker, and Enrollment Funnels. Cross-System Integration: Join our CRIO BigQuery clinical data with our Salesforce Business Development data and financial metrics to create a single source of truth in Power BI. System Administration: Act as the internal data advisor for CRIO and Salesforce, ensuring our clinical staff is entering data (like Visit Statuses, Patient Demographics, and Study Budgets) in a structured way that flows perfectly into your BI models. Ongoing Systems Management & Scaling: You will be the permanent technical owner of this ecosystem. As Equity Medical activates new clinical trials or opens new locations, you will continually update the BigQuery/Power BI architecture and ensure zero downtime for our operational dashboards. Compliance: Ensure all data handling maintains strict US HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance standards. Requirements (Must-Haves) Clinical Trial Expertise: You must have a strong understanding of clinical research terminology. You need to know what a CTMS, EDC, IRB, eSource, Screen Failure, and Protocol Deviation are. If you do not know the clinical trial industry, you will not understand how to model the data. BI & SQL Mastery: 3+ years of advanced experience writing complex SQL queries and building relational dashboards in Power BI (or Tableau). Cloud Data Warehouse Knowledge: Strong experience navigating, querying, and modeling large datasets within Google BigQuery. Flawless Communication: Executive-level English communication skills. You will be on daily video calls with our US-based executive team and Site Directors. Night Shift Requirement: You must be willing and able to work strict US East Coast hours (EST) to overlap with our clinic operations. Nice-to-Haves Prior experience working as a Clinical Data Manager or BI Developer at a major CRO (IQVIA, Syneos, ICON, PPD, etc.) or a US-based site network. Direct system admin experience with CRIO (Clinical Research IO) and Salesforce. What We Provide Highly competitive USD salary paid directly. A secure, company-managed laptop (with VPN and MDM) provided to you for compliant data access. The opportunity to be the foundational data leader for a rapidly scaling US healthcare company, working directly with the CEO and COO, rather than just being a cog in a massive corporate CRO.
