Requirements and responsibilities


We are seeking an experienced Implementation and Support Engineer specializing in Enterprise Security to handle network implementation, configuration, support, and design. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in routing, switching, wireless networks, and security best practices, ensuring the robust performance of complex network infrastructures. This is a Full-Time Contractor Job / Remote from LATAM / C1 English Level is Required. Required Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience in network implementation, configuration, support, and design using routing and switching technologies, as well as general security best practices. - Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, HP, and Aruba equipment (Firewalls, Routing / Switching, Wireless, and Security). - Experience working for large financial organizations, service providers, and enterprises with cloud environments is highly preferred. Technical Knowledge: General Knowledge: - Administration and configuration of wired and wireless infrastructures. - Advanced knowledge of Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Security. - Project lifecycles. - Documentation of implementation and test plans. - Management and execution of maintenance changes. - Customer support. Advanced Routing Knowledge (Implementation, configuration, and support): - IP Addressing. - Static routes. - Routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF. - DHCP, DNS, VRF, MPLS, Load Balancing. Advanced Switching Knowledge (Implementation, configuration, and support): - VLAN, Nexus vPC, VSS, OTV. - Spanning-tree. - Port-channels. Wireless Knowledge (Implementation, configuration, and support – Cisco, Aruba): - Knowledge of Wireless RF principles. - Knowledge of Wireless network design and implementation. - Knowledge and experience executing all types of Site Surveys. - WLC and AP management, different deployment modes, and solutions. Advanced Security Knowledge: - NAT, ACL. - IPSEC / SSLVPN, DMVPN. - IPS/IDS, and other NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall) features and capabilities. - Experience with Cisco Firepower Services and Palo Alto security services. - Experience with Fortinet security equipment. Desirable Certifications: - Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA). - 350-401 ENCOR Implementing and Operating Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR). - 300-410 ENARSI Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services (ENARSI). - 350-701 SCOR Implementing and Operating Cisco Security Core Technologies (SCOR). - 300-710 SNCF Securing Networks with Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewall (SSNGFW) / Securing Networks with Cisco Firepower Next-Generation IPS (SSFIPS). - 300-730 SVPN Implementing Secure Solutions with Virtual Private Networks (SVPN). - Implementing Cisco Enterprise Wireless Networks – ENWLSI 300-430. - Fortinet NSE 4 - FortiOS (FortiGate Security and FortiGate Infrastructure). Skills: - Adaptability. - Time management. - Self-directed learner. - Teamwork. - Organization of activities and processes. - Ability to work based on objectives and strict delivery deadlines. - Communicative / Excellent verbal expression. - Basic understanding of project management. - Ability to work well under pressure. - Ability to identify and propose improvements for any of the previously listed technologies. - Analytical, planning, organizational, and control skills. Job Responsibilities: - Perform network and security assessments, including gap analysis using information gathering tools. Create relevant documentation for client engagements, such as diagrams, detailed assessments, and design documents. - Provide technical analysis of existing or legacy technology in an environment, present modernized network and security solutions, and define features and capabilities according to customer requirements. - Assist Solution Architects in identifying and defining the scope of work and technical assumptions for statements of work (SOWs). - Ability to independently complete large and complex projects. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and products, including obtaining certifications and participating in industry events as appropriate. - Work with various stakeholders to lead troubleshooting efforts, develop system roadmaps, and make critical decisions. - Provide clear communication with regular updates/reports to project and account teams.
