We're looking for a well-rounded team member to contribute to digital transformation efforts in the US Army and build consolidated business process solution to transition 14 legacy systems into a single automated solution. The developer will use Appian platform to build a complex business process management solution.We're seeking talented and bright consultants who are passionate about technology and want to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ego-free culture while applying a creative approach to problem-solving. You’ll work with a team to help our client overcome their most difficult challenges in automating and unifying business processes.RESPONSIBILITIESUtilize Appian Data Fabric to create multiple data productsImplement cross-echelon integration utilizing Appian Data FabricCreate and manage data models within Appian’s Data FabricUnderstand and implement complex security rules across multiple data sources.Create automated workflows using Appian BPM platformWork with other Appian developers to deliver a solution using a combination of record types, interfaces, process models, Custom Data Types, expression rules, reports, etc. Key application features include Data , project scheduling, resource allocation, document approval, reporting, planning, and cost estimation.Leverage Appian RPA and AI capabilities to automate processes, improve application intelligence, and generate synthetic dataExecute unit tests and integration tests against your changes.Assist with the testing effort following all Appian upgrades.Check code into a DevOps pipeline to promote Appian objects/packages to a higher tier.Ensure project deliverables meet team/customer quality standards, as well as functional/non-functional requirements.Support the remediation of issues that arise in non-development environments and Production.Build and integrate APIs to enhance the functionality and interoperability of Appian applications with other systems, including Web APIs, Connected Systems, and Integration ObjectsCreate Plugins and API end pointsImplement security best practices within the Appian platform, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards – must include knowledge of user role configuration and security rulesWork closely with Business Analysts to design conceptual workflows and related actions to support the customer’s vision within the solution.Provide guidance to Business Analysts regarding the implementation complexity of their designs to aid the customer in deciding which approach to pursue from a cost/benefit perspective.Work with Business Analysts to create custom reports and dashboards tailored to usersDemonstrate periodically to the team during Daily Stand-Ups features as you complete them.Participate in all Agile-based ceremonies, including assisting the team with story estimation.Assist other Appian developers with their tasks from a peer programming perspective, including reviewing code and implementation approach.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum three (3) years of experience as an Appian Developer.Experience with Appian Data FabricExperience with Appian Process automation platformMinimum two (2) years of experience with software development, including building JavaScript, C#, and/or Java/J2EE-based applications.Experience with API development and API performance tuningA fundamental understanding of web development concepts.Experienced in Developing Process Models, SAIL Interfaces, Records and Reports.Experience participating in requirement gathering sessions.The ability to turn written and verbal requirements into process flows and interfacesStrong analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to follow up in a timely manner.Level 1 (or higher) Appian A-score Certification or Appian Certified Associate Developer certificate is a plusHave experience working with Army or other Federal agencies.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMilitary-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to obtain Security Clearance of Public Trust once hired
