A genuine builder, not just an engineer:
- You have shipped products before, ideally from zero to users.
- You know what it means to make hard technical trade-offs in pursuit of speed without sacrificing foundation.
Deeply fluent in modern AI:
- You understand LLMs beyond the API call.
- Prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval augmentation, memory architectures, and the current landscape of open versus proprietary models.
Full-stack with strong backend instincts:
- You are comfortable across the stack but know that solid data architecture and a well-designed API are what make or break a product at scale.
Passionate about the mission:
- This is not just a technical problem.
- You are drawn to the idea of technology that helps people live better lives, with depth, ethics, and genuine care for users.
Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage chaos:
- Pre-product, pre-funding startups are messy.
- You thrive when given a clear vision and freedom to find the path, rather than a detailed spec to execute against.
A communicator, not just a coder:
- You can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders, contribute to investor conversations, and help shape the product narrative alongside the founding team.
