At Shipt, we are transforming the shopping and last mile delivery experience, giving time back to consumers. Shipt Shoppers handpick everything from fresh groceries to household essentials, then deliver them to consumers’ doors in as little as one hour. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at Shipt. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing margin-related journal entries, performing account reconciliation reviews, and fluctuation analysis in support of timely and accurate month-end financial reporting. You will also lead Sales Tax initiatives and compliance, support cross-functional fraud mitigation efforts, and develop new and maintain existing partner billings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent modeling skills, proficiency with SQL and Tableau, and the ability to work successfully in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment. If you are a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a passion for process improvement, we would love to hear from you! Responsibilities: - Prepare margin-related journal entries and perform account reconciliation reviews and fluctuation analysis in support of timely and accurate month-end financial reporting. - Lead Sales Tax initiatives and compliance, including sales tax audit support, as well as supporting ongoing evaluation of item classification. - Support cross-functional fraud mitigation efforts through financial analysis and modeling. - Develop new and maintain existing partner billings and ensure ongoing completeness and accuracy. - Continually seek to improve and automate existing processes. - Enhance documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. - Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects.
