As part of its global expansion, it is seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (India) to provide expert-level financial and accounting support to US-based clients.About the RoleThe selected candidate will manage end-to-end financial operations for a US-based company, including statutory compliance, financial reporting, taxation, and advisory support aligned with US GAAP, IRS regulations, and corporate accounting standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, leadership teams, and external auditors to ensure strong financial governance, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across multiple entities.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAPMaintain general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysisOversee month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accurate and timely reportingManage federal, state, and local corporate tax filings in the USPrepare documentation for tax returns, audits, and regulatory requirementsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, IRS regulations, and internal controlsLiaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodiesReview vendor invoices, reconciliations, and ensure timely payment cyclesWork with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or XeroMaintain audit-ready documentation and organised financial recordsImplement best practices for data integrity, reporting, and financial governanceEducation & CertificationCertified Public Accountant (CPA) MandatoryBachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant accounting experiencePrior experience managing accounts for US-based entities is highly preferredStrong exposure to US GAAP, corporate taxation, and audit processesSkills & CompetenciesIn-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax lawsStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and complianceAdvanced skills in Excel / Google SheetsHands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, etc.)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skillsStrong written and verbal communication in EnglishAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlinesSoft Skills & Work StyleHigh level of integrity, accuracy, and professionalismWell-organised with a disciplined approach to documentationAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced, remote environmentComfortable supporting US time zones and cross-border teamsAdaptable, collaborative, and proactivePreferred / Added AdvantageExperience working in BPO or shared services environmentsKnowledge of US payroll processing and statutory filingsFamiliarity with SOX controls and GAAP-compliant audit frameworksExposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities
