As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance testing strategies across BitNorm's web platform and APIs. You'll identify bottlenecks, analyze system behavior under load, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve scalability and performance before production releases.ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute end-to-end performance, load, stress, endurance, and spike tests.Develop reusable performance testing scripts and frameworks.Simulate concurrent user traffic for web applications and backend APIs.Measure system response times, throughput, latency, CPU, memory, database, and network utilization.Identify application bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.Analyze server logs, monitoring dashboards, and performance reports.Work closely with backend developers, frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams.Validate application scalability before major releases.Create detailed performance test reports with actionable insights.Participate in release readiness and production performance validation.Contribute to continuous performance testing within CI/CD pipelines.Required Skills3+ years of experience in Performance Testing.Strong understanding of software performance engineering principles.Experience with one or more performance testing tools:Apache JMeterGatlingLocustk6BlazeMeterExperience testing REST APIs and GraphQL APIs.Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, caching, CDN behavior, and networking concepts.Experience monitoring:CPUMemoryDisk I/ODatabase performanceNetwork utilizationFamiliarity with performance monitoring tools such as:GrafanaPrometheusKibanaNew RelicDatadogExperience working with SQL databases.Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Experience using Git.Ability to analyze large datasets and identify root causes of performance issues.Nice to HaveExperience testing applications with thousands of concurrent usersExperience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)Experience testing real-time applications using WebSocketsExposure to blockchain nodes or decentralized infrastructureAbout BitNormBitNorm is building a next-generation Web3 professional networking ecosystem that connects professionals, organizations, recruiters, and communities through decentralized technologies.
