In addition, where an existing customer portfolio is assigned, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing contract renewals. This includes maintaining the commercial relationship, presenting renewal proposals, conducting negotiations, and successfully closing renewals.
The role’s primary commercial responsibility is to generate revenue through new business acquisition and, where applicable, the assigned renewal portfolio.
For opportunities that do not close during the initial sales meeting but retain sales potential, the Business Development Manager will have direct ownership of the opportunity for the following 15-day period, actively managing follow-up activities with the objective of converting the opportunity into a sale.
Key Responsibilities
New Business
• Conduct face-to-face sales meetings with founders, general managers, school principals, and other key decision-makers at private education institutions within the assigned territory on the European Side of Istanbul.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of meetings, opportunities, follow-up actions, and outcomes in the CRM system.

• Establish a strong commercial relationship with newly acquired customers and ensure an effective handover to the relevant internal teams.
Renewal Management
• Proactively plan and manage upcoming contract renewals within the assigned existing customer portfolio.
• Engage with customers during the renewal period to review the existing partnership, identify current needs, and explore opportunities for further development.
• Present renewal proposals, manage negotiations and follow-up activities, and successfully close contract renewals.
• Evaluate up-sell, cross-sell, and, where appropriate, down-sell opportunities based on customer needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for the renewal portfolio, including meetings, proposals, and outcomes.
• Achieve the assigned renewal revenue target.

• During this period, the Business Development Manager will manage all necessary calls, follow-up communication, proposals and negotiations, as well as arrange additional meetings where required.
• Where a renewal portfolio is assigned, the Business Development Manager will have full commercial ownership of the renewal process for those customers.
• All new business, renewal, and follow-up activities will be managed through the CRM system.
