Lightpage is a personal notebook that writes back using AI. People use it to brain dump and move their lives forward. It’s available on the web and iOS, and early users love it.
We are seeking an experienced software engineer capable of delivering improvements and features end-to-end.
Our technology stack includes:
* TypeScript.
* React Native (web & iOS).
* Postgres.
* Cloudflare (Workers, Durable Objects, Queues, etc.).
Responsibilities include:
* Improving the memory architecture to ensure the AI has the most relevant context in every chat.
* Developing a voice mode that enables users to interact with the AI through speech.
* Implementing smart tags to automatically organize notes and chats.
* Enhancing performance to achieve instant app launch, even with a large number of notes and chats.
* Increasing reliability of dictation features by addressing failures in audio recording and transcription network calls.
* Building a native desktop app wrapper using Electron or Tauri.
* Reducing operational costs through batching implementation for LLM jobs.
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
* High-performance offline or local-first apps with synchronization (IndexDB, client-side SQLite, etc.).
* AI products (agents, chatbots, voice systems).
* Reliable and efficient backend systems (e.g., background jobs, durable execution).
* Rich text editing tools.
* Consumer applications with large user bases.
Candidates must have a macOS or Linux computer, an iPhone, and a fast internet connection.
