Requirements and responsibilities


The Financial Compensation Analyst is a high-profile, critical role providing global compensation support for our 450+ employees across 12 countries. As the technical lead, you will support the development of global salary, bonus, and incentive structures, manage the annual compensation budgeting & benchmarking process, and maintain country-specific pay scales. Your strong business and financial acumen will underpin your gravitas and credibility to work with C-suite members and provide quantitative and qualitative information to our People & Culture Centers of Expertise. You’ll be able to work in our close-knit, fun, and hugely supportive People & Culture (P&C) team. Our main mantra is ‘one P&C; one team’. Our other mantra, ‘better never stops’, underpins our determination to deliver P&C excellence in everything we do. 🟡 What we are looking for: ◽ Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Finance or an equivalent STEM discipline ◽ At least three years of experience in finance, analytics or accounting. ◽ Payroll experience. ◽ Experience in data analysis and modeling, managing and manipulating large, complex data sets. ◽ Understanding survey methodologies, including job matching, reporting line, and responsibilities is preferred. ◽ Ability to use MS Excel for analysis, reporting, and data cleansing; strong knowledge of formulas (VLOOKUP, IF, OR, INDEX, MATCH, etc.), data validation functionality, and creation of Pivot tables. ◽ Ability to work with MS Excel VBA or Power BI is an advantage. ◽ Ability to work collaboratively and independently and a high level of organization and detail orientation are all prerequisites. Demonstrated capability in efficiently handling a high volume of projects and complex transactions is also a must. 🟡 Key responsibilities: ◽ Salary benchmarking: → Prepare global salary benchmarking survey submissions, including data collection, role matching, and related analysis of survey reports. → Performed global market benchmarking analyses to ensure our pay scales were market-competitive. → Conduct ad hoc proxy analysis from desk research to support competitive market assessments. → Undertake ad-hoc benchmarking and prepare salary proposals relating to pay raises and promotions. → Support the bi-annual global salary & performance review process, including preparation of pay and pay inflation analyses, pay budgets, pay proposal materials, analysis of proposals, and implementation. → Maintain an internal database of all pay scales, bonus and incentive structures, and non-standard compensation packages. → Provide recurring and ad-hoc compensation metrics, data reporting, and other analyses. → Support the preparation and completion of global regulatory compensation reporting and filings. → Monitor data to ensure data integrity consistency and distinguish gaps, confirming all data complies with local legal requirements. → Conduct ongoing research and analysis into emerging and industry trends, market data, and best practices related to compensation programs. ◽ Analytics: → Manipulate, model, analyze & interpret large data sets, draw conclusions, and create a compelling narrative to add value to compensation-related decisions. → Use effective data visualization techniques to present compelling narratives and insights, model financial impact, and conclude. → Designed, built, and implemented analytical models using people and market data to forecast costs and identify issues and impacts. → Work on ad-hoc compensation projects throughout the year, including research and analysis and developing recommendations. → Deliver annual budgets and rolling forecasts. → Provide compensation-related administration, e.g., manage employee/line manager queries, rewards meetings, and invoices. ◽ Compensation governance: → Provide data insights and analysis for Remuneration Committee (REMCO) papers. → Support design philosophies and strategies to attract, reward, and retain talent through analytics. → First point of contact on compensation-related policies and governance, providing sound guidance to relevant stakeholders. → Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the internal and external compliance and guidance information relating to compensation globally. ◽ Incentives: → Support with calculating, analyzing, and awarding sales and bonus incentive programs. → Analytical support for annual and long-term incentive programs, e.g., cost modeling/analysis, budget planning, run rates, etc. 🟡 What we offer ◽ A fun, informal, collaborative, and international work culture. ◽ A competitive salary package. ◽ Access to regular coaching and mentoring sessions and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. ◽ Access to the Aurora Academy, our training program, offers a range of opportunities to develop your skills within the responsibilities of your role and within the wider context of the industry. ◽ Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering a complete support network that offers expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7/365, covering a wide range of personal and professional aspects.
