Shipt Shoppers handpick everything from fresh groceries to household essentials, then deliver them to your door in as little as one hour. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide outstanding support to team members and leaders across the entire Shipt organization. As part of a growing People & Community team, your existing Human Resources expertise will fuel your ability to execute critical HR tasks which contribute to a culture grounded in Shipt's values. Leading with care, you will be a trusted partner to your client group, helping them achieve their personal and business goals with the right team strategies while maintaining a focus on compliance. This role will be seated in our Birmingham, AL office. Responsibilities: - Own execution of pre-hire and onboarding process, leading to a smooth transition for new hires; work includes processing new hire paperwork, background checks, I9, immigration, and E-Verify application - Provide dedicated support to HR Business Partners with specific focus on HR transactions, data maintenance, location changes, compensation changes, employee data/assignment changes, reporting, off-boarding, and Workday records as needed - Review and support employee inquiries related to the reasonable accommodations processes and policy, engage in the interactive process, and collect required documentation. - Act as the subject matter expert and owner for all People & Community related policies and procedures including but not limited to the Shipt National Employee Handbook - Own ongoing efforts and future policies related to a safe return to in-person work as part of our hybrid work model rollout - Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, workplace complaints, or other employee concerns; - Provide support, guidance, and counsel related to HR best practices, such as performance reviews, coaching/counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues; - Conduct exit interviews and ensure all offboarding processes are compliant and completed in a timely manner; - Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by your leader or client
