🚀 Description: Our client is a software video production company that automates the process of creating high-quality videos using AI, automation, and text-to-speech. They are seeking a senior JavaScript engineer to lead the development of their proprietary video rendering technology. This role will involve improving and extending the technology as the company acquires customers. You will report to the director of engineering. You will be responsible for working on the core technology that powers video generation. Video editing experience and a passion for recording and editing are a plus, but not required. 🟣 Requirements: ◽️ Strong experience with JavaScript development experience. ◽️ Deep familiarity with Node.js and a comprehensive understanding of JavaScript. ◽️ Experience with TypeScript. Proficient with Linux command line and Bash scripting. ◽️ Previous programming experience in video delivery, transcoding, or production. ◽️ Expert knowledge of browser runtimes, DOM, and rendering. ◽️ Familiarity with joint enterprise messaging patterns. ◽️ Extensive experience with test-driven development. ◽️ Ability to productize prototype systems. ◽️ Advantageous: Experience developing browser extensions. 🟣 Responsibilities: ◽️ Develop and enhance the company's proprietary video rendering technology. ◽️ Collaborate with the engineering team on all software development projects, focusing on the core technology. ◽️ Maintain and optimize Chrome extensions that support the video rendering engine operations. ◽️ Ensure compatibility across different browsers. ◽️ Worked with JavaScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, BASH, and Linux command lines. ◽️ Handle video recording, transcoding, and delivery in Linux and cloud environments. ◽️ Implement test-driven development practices and retrofit test suites. ◽️ Productize prototype systems. Previous experience developing browser extensions is advantageous.
