As a Shipping Associate II at Hachette Book Group, you will be responsible for assembling and ensuring all orders to be shipped are accurate, intact, and have proper paperwork attached. You will work with the shipping office to obtain appropriate documents needed to send out the order and operate warehouse vehicles to load shipments on trucks. This position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs for extended hours, operate Walkie Riders, Hand Electric Trucks, and Counterbalance Trucks, and work in a team environment. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication skills, attention to detail, and a proven work ethic, we encourage you to apply for this position. Responsibilities: - Assembling and assuring all orders to be shipped are accurate, intact, and have proper paperwork attached - Inducting freight into the system, pulling cartons, and scanning cartons to the appropriate dock spot - Wrapping and restaging completed dock pallets - Obtaining appropriate documents needed to send out the order - Reporting all problems to supervisor - Operating warehouse vehicles to load shipments on trucks - Sweeping and cleaning the shipping dock after trucks are loaded and setting up the dock for the following day - Performing additional duties as assigned by the lead or supervisor
