Our mission is to create and empower digital communities to play, explore, socialize and meaningfully express themselves in the next era of the Internet. We are expanding our portfolio of original experiences and brand worlds and are looking for an exceptional Lead Game Designer to join us in originating, developing, launching and growing new experiences on Roblox - owned IP and partner IP. You will act as the vision holder, creating and delivering gameplay mechanics that push the boundaries of the experience, while building unique and engaging moments for players. Responsibilities: - Spearhead the development of the Game Design Document and guarantee the team is aligned and delivering on the vision. - Partner with the Producer in translating the Game Design Document into a clear roadmap, delivering upon the set milestones and performance targets. - Support Lead Engineer and team of gameplay engineers in translating features into actionable items. - Craft the systems, mechanics, and content that make up a deeply resonant player experience. - Guide the experience of a player from their first moments to their 1000th hour, building the frameworks that allow players to forge connections - Communicate and coordinate with the wider development team throughout the development process, iterating on designs, features, and processes until we get it right. - Test and tune gameplay balance throughout the product life cycle - Review features and provide insights on balance, structure, and strategy, using a mix of data and player feedback to test and iterate on live features.
