Operating as a critical technical resource, this position focuses on providing deep Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) production support, designing distributed architectures, and maintaining rigorous data consistency across complex, heterogeneous database environments.Role Details:Role: SAP Sybase Replication Server ConsultantLocation: 100% Remote (Client is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN)Type: ContractRate: $70.00 / hourReqID: 10777172Key Stack & Requirements:Sybase Replication Domain Mastery: Deep technical expertise installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading SAP Sybase Replication Server (SRS) multi-tier systems.Database Backends: Strong foundational experience working alongside Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) database architectures.Heterogeneous Replication: Demonstrated history configuring, managing, and troubleshooting cross-platform data pipelines across disjointed systems (e.g., Sybase ASE to Microsoft SQL Server or SAP core landscapes).Objects & Subscriptions: Proven capability building, refining, and partitioning replication definitions, subscriptions, routes, and data pipelines.L2/L3 Production Support: Experience managing live high-priority incidents, evaluating transaction delays, tracking data inconsistency faults, and executing formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Performance Optimization: Formulating performance tuning strategies by adjusting memory allocation, clearing backlog queues, and optimizing network bandwidth usage to reduce latency spikes.🌟 Desirable Skills:Foundational scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) to automate routine database health checks and system monitoring alerts.Active Database Administration (DBA) or SAP ecosystem technical certifications.High-level understanding of modern cloud data migration methodologies and database consolidation workflows.Please send your updated resume directly to: sudhanshu.singh@scalable-systems.com
