INNOVALANCE LEARNING SYSTEMS is looking for experienced Copy Editors to join our team on a contractual basis and support the development of high-quality K–12 educational content aligned with the US curriculum.Key ResponsibilitiesCopyedit and proofread K–12 educational content across disciplinesEnsure compliance with the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and US English conventionsMaintain consistency in grammar, tone, terminology, and instructional clarityReview content for readability, accessibility, and learner-friendlinessCollaborate with SMEs, content developers, and quality teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Journalism, or a related fieldMinimum 2 years of professional copyediting or proofreading experience in educational publishing, EdTech, or academic contentStrong knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS)Familiarity with Merriam-Webster as a reference dictionary and US English spelling conventionsExcellent attention to detail and ability to review large volumes of content efficientlyExperience reviewing educational assessments (MCQs, multi-select, fill-in-the-blank, etc.) is a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience working with US K–12 publishers, curriculum providers, or EdTech organizationsFamiliarity with Learnosity or similar digital assessment platformsKnowledge of accessibility standards (alt text, screen reader considerations, ARIA labels)Understanding of equitable and inclusive language practicesExperience reviewing Math and Science content is an advantage📩 Interested candidates may share their resume at anjali.gupta@innovalancelearning.com
