Market Mapping & Talent Intelligence – 40%
• Conduct deep research to map talent ecosystems within key sectors such as AI/ML, SaaS, and Fintech
• Identify high-talent-density companies and analyze team structures within venture-backed startups
• Develop comprehensive talent maps outlining key players, competitors, and potential candidate pools
• Monitor hiring patterns, headcount growth, and organizational structures within relevant companies
Strategic Candidate Sourcing – 35%
• Build high-quality candidate pipelines for Engineering, Product, and Design roles
• Use advanced sourcing techniques across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Crunchbase, and other research tools
• Identify passive candidates and hidden talent within competitive startup environments
• Develop targeted outreach lists based on role-specific technical requirements
Deep Research & Market Insights – 15%
• Deliver research insights regarding startup funding rounds, company growth, and hiring signals
• Track competitor movements and emerging talent hubs within the startup ecosystem
• Provide intelligence to internal recruiting teams to inform strategic hiring decisions
Data Integrity & Research Documentation – 10%
• Maintain accurate and organized talent pipelines within structured research trackers
• Ensure market maps and candidate databases remain up to date and actionable
• Manage sourcing data within shared documentation tools such as Google Sheets
Requirements
Must-Haves (Required)
• 5+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience focused on Engineering, Product, and Design roles
• Proven experience sourcing within the US venture-backed startup ecosystem (Seed through Series D)
• Advanced proficiency using LinkedIn Recruiter for targeted candidate discovery
• Strong understanding of startup environments, talent density, and fast-growing technology companies
• Exceptional research and analytical skills with the ability to build structured talent maps
• Strong attention to detail when managing sourcing pipelines and research data
Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
• Experience supporting executive search or boutique recruiting firms
• Familiarity with startup hiring trends across AI, SaaS, Fintech, or emerging technologies
• Experience sourcing technical talent through GitHub, patents, research publications, or developer communities
• Previous exposure to market intelligence research related to venture capital or startup growth signals
