Project OverviewClient is undertaking an AWS infrastructure migration to convert existing AWS CloudFormation code to Terraform across:DevQATestProductionThe migration and production deployment activities are targeted for completion by end of November, followed by production monitoring and support through December.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the CloudFormation → Terraform migration strategyDefine Terraform architecture, coding standards & design practicesEstablish Terraform state management approachOversee AWS resource import and reconciliation into Terraform stateValidate infrastructure before production deploymentTroubleshoot and resolve complex migration/deployment issuesDrive production readiness and cutover activitiesMinimize downtime and operational risk during production migrationWork closely with supporting Terraform engineersMUST-HAVE8+ years of relevant experienceStrong Terraform Architecture / Leadership experienceProven experience leading CloudFormation → Terraform migrationsHands-on AWS infrastructure knowledgeStrong Terraform state management experienceExperience with Terraform import, resource mapping & reconciliationProduction migration & deployment experienceStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience managing production cutover with minimal downtimeCritical Requirement: Candidates must have prior hands-on experience leading CloudFormation-to-Terraform migrations, especially around importing and validating existing AWS resources into Terraform state.Additional OpeningsAlong with the Senior Lead, 1–2 Terraform engineers will work with the lead on the same migration initiative.
