About the Role:
We are seeking a remote Creative Director with deep, hands-on experience in the Amazon marketplace. This is a leadership role for a creative and executor, responsible for translating our premium brand strategy into high-converting, visually stunning assets.
You will lead our design team and own the entire creative pipeline, from creative project execution and asset management to driving innovation in our marketing, packaging, and in-box experiences.
You will be our expert on how to make a premium brand stand out and win on Amazon.
The ideal candidate lives and breathes e-commerce creative, understands consumer psychology, and uses market analytics to make data-informed design decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Amazon Creative Excellence:
* Lead the strategy, art direction, and execution of all Amazon-specific creative.
* Main Listing Imagery (Hero images, infographics, lifestyle composites).
* Premium A+ Content (EBC).
* Amazon Brand Stores.
* Amazon Posts and other on-platform advertising creative.
Creative Project Execution:
* Manage the entire creative workflow from brief to final delivery.
* Ensure all projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest brand standard.
Team Leadership:
* Lead, mentor, and develop our remote design team (e.g., graphic designers, videographers).
* Foster a culture of high performance, creativity, and accountability.
Packaging & Insert Innovation:
* Drive the creative vision for our physical products.
* Lead all design for retail packaging, shipping boxes, and product inserts.
* Focus on creating a premium unboxing experience that drives customer loyalty and reviews.
Marketing & Asset Innovation:
* Continuously research, ideate, and A/B test new creative concepts, formats, and styles.
* Improve ad performance, click-through rates, and conversion.
Market Analytics:
* Partner with the marketing team to analyze competitor creative, market trends, and creative performance data.
* Use insights to iterate and optimize all visual assets.
Digital Asset Management (DAM):
* Own and manage the company’s creative asset library.
* Develop and maintain a robust system for organizing, versioning, and distributing all final assets.
Brand Stewardship:
* Serve as the primary guardian of the brand's visual identity, voice, and tone.
* Ensure a cohesive and premium experience across Amazon, the D2C site, social media, and all other channels.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
* 5-7+ years of creative experience in e-commerce, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior art direction role.
* An exceptional portfolio showcasing direct-response e-commerce and Amazon creative, including A+ Content, Brand Stores, and listing imagery personally art directed or designed.
* Expert-level knowledge of Amazon's creative ecosystem, including best practices, required specs, and platform limitations.
* Proven experience in creative project management and leading a design team through complex projects.
* Demonstrable experience in designing for print, specifically product packaging and inserts.
* Experience integrating AI creative tools into a design workflow.
* A hands-on mentality, combining strategic leadership with direct design execution when needed.
* Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
* Experience managing and mentoring a remote creative team.
Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience with 3D rendering for product lifestyle images.
* Skills in motion graphics (After Effects) or video editing (Premiere Pro).
* Experience with digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
* Familiarity with marketing analytics and A/B testing methodologies.
