- Gearbox Entertainment is an award-winning creator and distributor of entertainment - Known for successful game franchises including Brothers in Arms and Borderlands - Committed to providing a work environment free from discrimination and harassment Gearbox Entertainment is seeking a Lead SHiFT SDK Engineer to take ownership of the SHiFT SDK, enabling game developers to leverage the SHiFT platform with a feature-first API and in-engine plugins. The ideal candidate will have a concrete understanding of RESTful APIs, expertise in modern C++, and the ability to collaborate with multiple parties on design and standards decisions. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work closely with web service developers, game developers, and external development partners. Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of SDK Engineers - Build and refine the vision for the SDK - Develop and maintain best practices for game code communication with RESTful APIs - Add support for new web services/features with a consistent high-level interface - Work with web service developers to provide the best possible API - Provide a clean, clear, and consistent interface to Shift services for game development teams - Work with QA to ensure comprehensive testing of the SDK and tools
