IDR (International Development Resources) is looking for an expert developer who will lead their offshore presence, integrate work with the US-based team, drive solid architecture and coding best practices, and work with the Product Management team to ensure timely feature deliveries. 🚀 Responsibilities: ✨ Work closely with the product manager to help define stories and other sprint deliverables. ✨ Work with the team quality owner to define and execute test plans and test cases and define meaningful test automation. ✨ Ensure comprehensive and meaningful unit test cases for all new code. ✨ Deliver supporting documentation and artifacts (functional requirements, design docs, etc.) to support new code. ✨ Work effectively within a high-performance team. 🚀 What we are looking for someone: ✨ Who lives in Medellin or is eager to move to this city. ✨ Who is a proven software engineer with web tech and server-side experience of 7+ years. ✨ With a high passion for quality and making a difference within an organization. ✨ With exceptional abilities in designing/implementing testable code and unit tests. ✨ With excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. ✨ With a solid understanding of relational databases and how to write optimal queries. ✨ With a strong experience with Agile development processes and continuous improvement (Plan-Do-Check-Act), sprint over sprint. ✨ With a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline. A plus to have any of the following: ✨ Expertise with AWS Cloud – SQS, SNS. ✨ Lean/agile development skills and certifications – certified scrum master, scrum coach, product owner, etc.
