Requirements and responsibilities

Team leadership – Coaching, hiring, firing. * Fleet & Yard Management – Enforce daily vehicle inspections, maintenance intervals, and clean-truck standards. Monitor GPS/telemetry for idle time and fuel efficiency. * Process design – Map current dispatch, billing, and maintenance steps. Eliminate bottlenecks. Publish simple, living SOPs everyone can follow. * Operational control – Run Towbook queues, balance urgent vs. scheduled calls, and hit 45-minute ETA targets for OEM partners. * Data & experiments – Build KPI dashboards (Google Sheets or your tool of choice). Launch small experiments—document what works, scrap what doesn’t. * Compliance & safety – Keep DOT/FMCSA files tight. Lead post-incident reviews and design training refreshers that actually stick. * Growth Projects – Partner with the owner on outbound site visits, quotes, and RFPs. Earn profit-share by securing and launching new fleet accounts. * Builder’s mindset – You see blank pages as opportunity, not risk. * Relevant experience – 3+ years leading ops in towing, trucking, emergency roadside, or similar 24/7 service. * Tool agility – You’re fluent in Towbook (or quick to learn) and can spin up a spreadsheet or dashboard in an afternoon. * Decision speed – You’re comfortable making the call with 80% of the data and learning fast from outcomes. * People skills – Direct but fair communicator who likes giving drivers room to excel. * Regulatory basics – Working knowledge of Colorado towing rules. * Bonus points – WreckMaster 6/7, Spanish/English bilingual, CDL-B, lean/5S chops.
