Zscaler's purpose-built security platform puts a company’s defenses and controls where the connections occur—the internet—so that every connection is fast and secure, no matter how or where users connect or where their applications and workloads reside. Zscaler is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to manage and be responsible for AWS and Linux systems uptime and performance. The ideal candidate will lead and work with Engineering, Operations, and DevOps to execute and deliver software services, build and run production environments in AWS using Infrastructure as code methods, orchestrate environment development using Kubernetes, Terraform, and lead key initiatives and improvements. Additionally, the candidate will build & deploy CI pipeline automation, work closely with System Architects, Engineers, Product Managers, and SRE to meet their environment setup and service automation needs, identify and implement key monitoring and analytics for Zscaler's solutions and services, implement industry best practices and standards, and lead and mentor junior DevOps / SRE Engineers to industry and company standards. Responsibilities: - Manage and be responsible for AWS, and Linux systems uptime and performance - Manage and maintain: Kubernetes, bamboo, Jenkins and argoCD - Lead and work with Engineering, Operations, and DevOps to execute and deliver software services - Build and run production environments in AWS using Infrastructure as code methods - Orchestrate environment development using Kubernetes, Terraform, and lead key initiatives and improvements - Build & Deploy CI pipeline automation to a combination of Kubernetes/Docker and EC2 based systems in AWS - Work closely with System Architects, Engineers, Product Managers, and SRE to meet their environment setup and service automation needs - Identify and implement key monitoring and analytics for Zscaler's solutions and services - Implement industry best practices and standards - Lead and mentor junior DevOps / SRE Engineers and guide the team to industry and company standards
