About the ProgramThe MedSchoolCoach Research Mentorship Program is a fully virtual opportunity designed to help high school students explore their passion for STEM through independent research projects. With the guidance of experienced PhD mentors, students develop critical research skills, strengthen their college applications, and gain valuable exposure to the scientific process.We are seeking dedicated PhD mentors to provide one-on-one support to students as they navigate research methodology, data collection, scientific writing, and even the publication process.ResponsibilitiesGuide students in designing and conducting STEM research projectsAssist with literature reviews, data collection, and analysisTeach fundamentals of scientific research, methodology, and writingSupport students in submitting to peer-reviewed high school or undergraduate journalsMentor students who wish to participate in science competitions or present at conferencesProvide structured guidance over 10 weekly 1-hour mentorship sessionsQualificationsPhD (or currently enrolled in a PhD program) in a STEM fieldPrior experience in research and mentorshipStrong communication and teaching skillsPassion for mentoring high school studentsPreferred ExpertiseMedical/Biological SciencesPhysics, ChemistryComputer Science, AIEnvironmental SciencesCompensation & Work Structure$75-$100 per mentorship sessionFully Remote (Must have stable internet access)Part-time, flexible hours
