Requirements and responsibilities


Requirements: ✓ Proven experience as a US-based salesperson for a packaging converting or flexographic printing company. ✓ Availability to visit customers as needed and travel internationally (to Colombia) to meet the Colombian-based team. (Travel schedule will be demand-based, as per their customers’ requests.) ✓ Track record of selling flexible packaging to US-based FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) customers (ideally in the food industry) and has contacts with companies that they may bring to Microplast, meeting the following requirements: - SMB (Small and Midsize Business) customers. - Added-value packaging customers. - Companies (either brand owners, contract manufacturers, or distributors) packaging coffee, confectionary, nuts, dried fruits, frozen food, chocolate, popcorn, pet food, or high-end snacks, cookies, or crackers. Responsibilities: • 100% engaging of new clients within the U.S. • Identify and engage potential clients, including brand owners, contract manufacturers, and distributors in the food industry, targeting the company's market niches. • Collaborate with the company's Business Development, R&D, Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of client requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their packaging needs and providing tailored solutions. • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. • Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential areas for growth. • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote our flexible packaging solutions. • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success and expansion of company sales objectives. Great benefit: Bonus based on achievement of goals. (Commissions paid once the client pays, 1% on EXW price, capped at 25% of the year's salary.)
